New to DeskLodge at Belvedere House, is Basingstoke ITEC, a charity-based organisation which is dedicated to developing the digital skills of the local community and encourages employers to grow their own IT talent through the ITEC Apprenticeship programme. The organisation was set up in the early 1980s as part of a Government initiative to create local skill hubs. It supports the development of digital skills and can provide employers with access to Government incentives of up to £4,000.
Their move to Basing View resulted from changes to working arrangements caused by the pandemic, which showed they could operate more cost effectively with smaller premises. General manager Mark Hammond says the new serviced office provides the room they need to deliver an effective and efficient service to employers and apprentices and great working conditions for staff. He comments: “DeskLodge in Basing View is a fantastic location for everyone we work with, its proximity to the train station, the motorway and the town make it ideal for business.”
